Abstract: The article deals with foreign theories explaining the reasons for ethnic’s isolation of migrants in host societies. The reasons for isolation are related to the specifics of the demand for migrant labor. The mechanisms of inequality and stratification reproduction in the labor market, caused by barriers and ethnic markers, are presented. Much attention is given to the adaptation of migrants conditioned by ethnic entrepreneurship and network solidary interactions. Keywords: dual labor market theory, theory of divided labor market, mechanism of exclusion, caste system, ethno economics. |
