Participation and role of patients in treatment. Mutual relations and interactions in group.

Abstract:

The problem with the complex relationship between the patient and the treating team, a subject of scientific interest about 50 years ago. In the process of treatment is essential interaction between the patient and the treating team. Implementation of various activities in the process of group work leads to transformation in the patient´s partner team and increases their motivation for participation and cooperation. Communication is an essential element of the work of the team that communicates with both the patient and his relatives, and each other, as members of the multidisciplinary team. The new model of care requires the involvement of the patient in collecting information about the disease, informed consent in conducting medical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and care. Conducted a survey which aims to establish the role and position of the patient in the healing process and examine his attitude of cooperation and relations with the medical team in the course of his treatment. The study covered 60 patients hospitalized in the MMA. Patients surveyed indicate that they worry about their health and have faith and a positive attitude towards the healing process. They express their willingness to cooperate with the medical team in the process of treatment, when received understandable, timely and sufficient information about their disease. Patients would like to participate in deciding the choice of therapy, diagnostic tests, treatments and care, which should be subject, if their treatment is based on respect and respect for individuals and their dignity.
