Abstract:
The present study is focused on the process of mastering verbal intonation as an acting means of expression within stage speech education of students – future actors. Mastering the expressive possibilities of verbal intonation significantly influences the efficiency of the actor’s scenic communication with the audience. Some specific methodological problems are highlighted within the study. Methodological tools for overcoming these problems are identified and criteria and indicators for measuring students’ skills for efficient handling of verbal intonation are derived.
