Abstract:
The article considers the concept of dominant orientations as a component of the personality directedness, which means readiness for self-realization in a certain field of activity. The authors substantiate and reveal the phenomenology of various types of student orientations that correspond to the sociocultural dimensions of higher education (social, spiritual, creative, business, intellectual, kratocentric, pragmatic, self-development orientation). The method of studying these orientations is described, which presents a questionnaire to identify current expectations and aspirations of students in the learning process. This technique allows to monitor subjective requests and representations of students about university training in the logic of the realization of their personal goals and life intentions..
