Abstract:

An attempt to evaluate changes of a person’s psychological states in connection with changes of one’s vital environment is made. In article the problem of studying hardiness of persons, released from detention facilities, and those, who are in the rehabilitation centers, is considered. The topical issues, connected with search of psychological ways of post-penitentiary help to the former convicts, are formulated. The negative consequences of serving a sentence with the following reduction of hardiness level were established together with promotion of marginalization and stigmatization of the personality in modern society. Taking into account such traumatizing events in human life, the attention is focused on hardiness as the significant resource of the personality promoting overcoming of difficult life situations. The interrelation between the level of psychological readiness for life after release from detention facilities and overcoming of obstacles of both objective, and subjective character was traced and considered as the one of characteristics of personality’s hardiness. Importance of hardiness research of a personality during the post-penitentiary period in the context the further life of a person and the solution of life situations of social character is stressed. The further steps aimed to the solution of the research tasks in the theoretical and practical planes within the subject are offered.
