Abstract:
Nowadays, dental prosthetics is one of the most sought-after services. One of the types of prosthetics is removable prosthetics. The article presents a study on the influence of the basis of a removable prosthesis made from two different types of modern plastics on atrophic processes that occur in the tissues of the prosthetic bed and microcircular indicators of the condition of the mucous membrane of the prosthetic bed. Now the dental market offers a wide range of removable dentures made from various types of plastics. It is not a rare case that even a dentist with a long practical experience has difficulty choosing one or another type of denture, which can be recommended to a patient by a variety of parameters. We know that a removable prosthesis is the strongest irritant of the mucous membrane and other tissues of the prosthetic bed. It can cause various negative reactions, among which toxic, tactile, temperature and mechanical stimuli are of paramount importance. Therefore, this article will allow dentists to more thoroughly understand the materials presented in the dental market and to apply them in everyday clinical practice without compromising the health of patients.
