Abstract:
The article presents the guiding principles of the new model of teacher education in the modernization of the education system of the Russian Federation, developed at the moment. The authors analyze the main legal documents that define the future of teacher education in the context of the activity approach to education. Requirements of the professional standard of the teacher who enters into force on January 1, 2015, defines the near future, not only vocational education of teachers, but also their professional activities in educational institutions. Academic research activity as one of the key activities, which prepare graduates undergraduate enrolled in the direction "Teacher education" to, is considered by the authors as an important element of the new model of teacher education. Prospects for the organization of these activities are presented based primarily on key competencies and work functions related to academic research activity of teachers of mathematics.
